Caldwell on Cheese
We are so delighted to host a class with the author of one of the best, most practical books in cheese. Come meet Gianaclis Caldwell of Pholia Farm and author of Mastering Artisan Cheesemaking. She is a rock star of the cheese world in our book. Enjoy a one hour class followed by a book signing at the LGC Cheese Shop on Friday, May 5th starting at 1pm. The class is designed for the home cheesemaker looking to bring some flair to their fromage. This will be the how-to and how'd they do that of washing, infusing, and wrapping, cheeses in leaves, herbs, bark or beer. What to do, what not to do, food safety concerns and how to manage the cheese after it's received it's turo treatment will be covered. Her book will be available for sale after class and she will be hanging around for a short signing in the shop following the event. Cost is $20. The class is limited to 25 participants and starts at 1pm. The 30 minute book signing is open to all and starts at 2pm.
